Hornets finish 3rd at Shepard Hills.
 

The Wellsboro Golf team started the 2022 season with a 3rd place finish at Shepard Hills in Waverly, NY on Wednesday, August 17.

The Hornets shot a combined score of 381, finishing behind Athens (350) and Wyalusing (369). North Penn-Mansfield (406) was 4th, Cowanesque Valley (410) finished 5th, Towanda (436) was 6th, and Sayre rounded out the field with a score of 503.

Senior Sam Rudy led Wellsboro with a 10th place finish with a round of 92. Junior Hannalee Cleveland shot 94, junior Hayden Zuchowski finished with a round of 95, senior Andrew Merriman carded a 100, senior Blake Hamblin had a 102, and freshman Kiernen Whitsell finished with a 140.

The team is back in action on Monday, August 22 at their home course.
