Hornet Golfers finish undefeated in NTL play

The Wellsboro Golf team edged Cowanesque Valley 332-334 to finish the 2019 season undefeated in NTL action at Tomasso's Country Club on Monday, September 30.
The Hornets placed 2 golfers in the top 5 as seniors Ty Morral (77) and Joseph Propheta (78) finished 2nd and 3rd overall behind CV's Austin Outman (70). Junior Brock Hamblin finished tied for 10th overall with a round of 86.
North Penn-Mansfield finished 3rd overall with a 351, Towanda (369) came home 4th, Athens (370) was 5th, and Sayre rounded out the field in 6th with a 378.
Sophomore Dylan Abernathy shot a 91 followed by seniors Ethan Blakley (92) and Daniel Mitchell (94).
The Hornets will be back in action on Thursday, October 3 for the first round of the District IV Class AA tournament, as they look to defend their title.
